Comic Book Review: Spider-Man (2016) #8

I am grateful of Marvel’s decision to not destroy Miles Morales and import him into the main Marvel Universe. Miles has been an interesting character and a great re-imagining of Spider-Man that draws many parallels with Peter Parker while staying refreshingly contemporary.

It is unfortunate then that Miles has been dragged into Marvel’s annual, big comic book event. There is a little progression in Miles life. Luke Cage and Jessica Jones make a quick guest appearance, but it’s clear that Miles will be more involved with the whole Civil War II thing.

Score: 6.2/10 Sad about Miles’ involvement in Civil War II, but like the series so much I won’t quit the series.
