Soft Swerve is a relatively new ice cream place that serves soft serve ice cream with Asian flavors. They currently have five flavors: ube purple yam, macapuno coconut, matcha green tea and black sesame. You can get swirls of these flavors.
If you don’t know the difference, soft serve is simply softer ice cream. They mix air into the mixture as it freezes to get that softer consistency.
When we arrived, there was a fairly long line that moved pretty fast. After we ordered, that line got even longer. There are only eight seats in the place, so there ended up being a large crowd outside eating their ice cream.
While there were various cone flavors available, I just got two flavors in a cup. I had the coconut-ube swirl and the black sesame in a regular sized cup for about $4. It was pretty good and more than enough ice cream. I did not finish it all.
Service was nice.
Overall, I enjoyed the place. I can’t recall another soft serve ice cream place that specialized in Asian flavors. I wish this business success and hope soft serve ice cream with Asian flavors remains their niche.
