I’ve been to a number of locations for this business and I’ve walked away from all of them feeling the same thing: disappointment. It costs too much and the food isn’t all that good.
Anyways, I’ve ordered a number of things from this place. I remember having the burnt ends, the brisket, the burnt end baked beans and the dirty fries. There are not combos or platters, you have to order each item individually and they generally cost around nine dollars or more. While the barbecue isn’t horrendous, I’ve simply had better, which is saying a lot considering how New York City isn’t exactly known for its barbecue. The burnt ends are too soggy. The dirty fries are too spicy… unless you like that sort of thing.
The interior is usually dimly lit with wood seating. No waiters or tips. You got up to the counter and order, then bring it back to your seats. I like the environment
Overall, I don’t recommend Mighty Quinn’s. I know a lot of people like it, but I don’t and I think there are a lot of better tasting barbecue options in New York City for less money and larger portions.
