Restaurant Review: Global Kitchen

Details: Locataed at 1290 Ave Of Americas, New York, NY 10019. Official site is https://www.nyglobalkitchen.com/

Global Kitchen is your standard New York City lunch spot. It’s like a cafeteria in that they offer a variety of options. They don’t do any specific thing especially well, but they do them decently and provide enough options to buttress the lack of quality. It’s the kind of place meant to serve the many office workers in the area with a fast, reasonably priced variety of choices for lunch. They have pizza, salads, sandwiches, sushi, poke, Korean food (mostly bowls or platters), burritos, and hot entrees among other things.

I went to the hot station and ordered a hot entree. That means you order a meat as your main choice and two sides to go with it. I got the salmon with rice and corn. I also got a bottle of water. Total price was about fifteen dollars.

It’s certainly not cheap, but it’s okay considering the relative prices in the area. The food was all right. It was satisfactory. The main thing is that there were so many choices. I could see myself coming here many times during a work day getting something different each day for a very long time.

Overall, it’s okay. It’s not cheap, but likely about as cheap as the other options in the area. If you’re in the vicinity of this place or work nearby, I’d recommend it as a decent place to grab a fast lunch.
