Details: Released in 2017. This is the first season so far. There are thirteen episodes with each episode around twenty-four minutes long. You can watch it on crunchyroll.com.
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is a slice of life anime with a twist. It’s similar to The Devil is a Part-Timer in that they take a down to earth idea and add the twist of fantasy. It’s a funny, fun anime with a lot of jokes and some fan service.
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is about a Japanese programmer — called Kobayashi — who during a drunken night, encounters a dragon. After waking up the next day in her bed with little memory of what happened last night, Kobayashi is greeted by the dragon who then turns into a cute maid and vows to stay with Kobayashi as her maid. Thus, the two begin living together and comic hijinks ensue.
With the exclusion of the last episode, all the other episodes are lighthearted and fun. I found this show relaxing and perfect for watching after a long day at the office.
Stories generally involve mundane every day things with absurd, dragon related solutions attempted. It’s fun. New characters also get introduced like other dragons. The humor is sometimes cheesy, but generally funny. Expect a healthy dose of fan service as well.
There’s really not much more to say except that I easily recommend this show. If you hate any amount of fan service, then you should avoid this show. Otherwise, this is a fun, nice show to relax to and have a few laughs at.
