“Brah.” Most of what I remembered about this movie was Tyrese Gibson saying “brah” like every other line. So when I saw this film on the television again, I decided to give it another watch. All I have to say is, “brah.”
2 Fast 2 Furious is the second movie in what is now a nine movie franchise (if you don’t count the spin off movies). In the first movie, Brian let Dom go. Now, Brian is a full time street racer who ends up in Miami. Brian is then recruited by the Feds to bring down a local crime lord.
If you don’t remember, Fast and the Furious used to be about street racing, not all those crazy stunts with submarines and all that stuff. This movie is also unique in that it’s one of the only Fast and Furious films without Vin Diesel.
The movie is all right for a B tier action movie. There are some cool racing scenes where they use that fish eye effect whenever they use nitrous oxide to boost. The plot is mostly nonsense.
Also worth mentioning is that Eva Mendez is in this movie. It’s a shame she never returned to the series except for a short, after credits cameo.
Overall, this is a B movie. There’s nothing all that great about it, though it isn’t completely terrible. It’s definitely a movie you can feel comfortable skipping brah.
