TV Show Review: Jessica Jones, Season 3

Details: More information can be found at

Score: 7/10

And so, the end to the Netflix-Marvel partnership has unceremoniously arrived. Disney has come out with their own streaming service, which means Netflix has been forced by Disney to shut down all their Disney related shows. Season three of Jessica Jones is the last of these shows. It’s a decent season and a sad farewell to these groundbreaking shows that tried to bring a grittiness to televised superhero fiction.

TV Show Review: The Punisher, Season 2

Details: More information can be found at and

Score: 7/10

And so ends the era of Marvel shows on Netflix. There is a lot of misinformation out there, but if you use your common sense, obviously Disney forced Netflix to end all their shows to weaken a competitor in lieu or Disney’s own online streaming service. If you ever needed evidence of what a piece of shit company Disney is, all you have to do is remember they canceled Daredevil.

Anyways, season two of The Punisher is the unlikely swan song for Netflix-Marvel shows. I found the season entertaining and in line with what you’d expect from the character of Frank Castle.

Video Game Review: Persona 5

Details: Originally released in 2016 for the Playstation 3 and Playstation 4. I played it on the Playstation 3. I beat the game in about ninety-five hours. The game received an M rating, so it’s for those 17 years old or older. More information can be found at the official site at

Score: 8.8/10

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 was easily my favorite Playstation 2 game by a wide margin. It combined the gameplay mechanics of a Final Fantasy game, a dating sim/visual novel, and a Pokemon game into an epic, maturely told adventure. Like how the Shin Megami Tensei preamble was dropped from the game title, Persona 5 refines the formula, cutting out things that didn’t work and adding a ton of refinements to this franchise’s formula.

It is no exaggeration to say that at the time of this review’s writing, Persona 5 is very likely the greatest turn based role playing game of all time, the greatest Japanese role playing game of all time, and perhaps even just the greatest role playing game of all time… or at least one of the greatest. With that said, this game definitely belongs to its genre. If you like Japanese role playing games and anime, I simply cannot recommend this game enough.

The only story spoilers ahead will be a brief synopsis of the first fifteen minutes of the game. The average time to beat the game as per is around 100 hours, so that’s not much.

Book Review: Sharp Objects, by Gillian Flynn

This is a review of the book, not the show. I felt like I needed to add an accompanying video and this was the closest thing I could find.

Details: Official site is

Score: 7.4/10

Sharp Objects is a New York Times Bestseller from the author of books like Gone Girl. This is a different book from Gone Girl, but the overall tense tone and female centered story is still there.
