Anime Review: Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind

Details: I’m up to episode thirty-seven. More information can be found at https://www.crunchyroll.com/jojos-bizarre-adventure and https://myanimelist.net/anime/37991/JoJo_no_Kimyou_na_Bouken__Ougon_no_Kaze

Score: 8/10

There really is nothing else like Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. One of the oldest running franchises, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure has inspired, been referenced to and been copied by countless other anime and manga to some extent. It’s one of the most often meme’d things on the internet. Golden Wind continues this tradition by being one of the craziest, most nonsense shows I’ve ever watched. I love this show.

Anime Review: Steins;Gate 0

Details: You can watch it at https://www.crunchyroll.com/steinsgate-0 . More information can be found at https://myanimelist.net/anime/30484/Steins_Gate_0

Score: 6/10

So I tried to sit through this thing, but it was just too boring. I got to episode fourteen before I just gave up and started fast forwarding through the episode to see what happens. The good news is that there is a nice ending waiting at the end of this series. The bad news is that the episode are so filled with boring fluff that getting to that ending is painful. There are plot twists and developments throughout this series, but the slow pacing just kill this show for me. I do not recommend this show unless you are a desperate fan of the Steins;Gate franchise.

TV Show Review: Jessica Jones, Season 3

Details: More information can be found at https://www.netflix.com/title/80002311

Score: 7/10

And so, the end to the Netflix-Marvel partnership has unceremoniously arrived. Disney has come out with their own streaming service, which means Netflix has been forced by Disney to shut down all their Disney related shows. Season three of Jessica Jones is the last of these shows. It’s a decent season and a sad farewell to these groundbreaking shows that tried to bring a grittiness to televised superhero fiction.

Score: 7/10

The Rising of the Shield Hero is yet another isekai anime where the protagonist is transported to a fantasy world where video game rules govern skills and magic. It’s pretty average in most respects, but still enjoyable if you like isekai.

Anime Review: Attack On Titan, Season 3

Details: Part 2 of season 3 is currently ongoing. I’ve watch the first part of season 3 and I’m nine episode in to the second part. More information can be found at https://shingeki.tv/season3/ and https://myanimelist.net/anime/38524/Shingeki_no_Kyojin_Season_3_Part_2

Score: 7.5/10

Attack on Titan is simply some of the best entertainment on television. The story is bonkers. The animation is great (though there is a noticeable drop in quality in Season 3). If you like anime and have a strong stomach, you need to be watching this show.
