Video Game Review: Season Pass for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Details: This is a review for the three story related downloadable content (DLC) for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. These three DLC’s are known as Desperate Measures, System Rift and A Criminal Past.

So there are three story related pieces of downloadable content for this game. They all came with the season pass so I’m going to do a quick and dirty review for all of them along with a score for each.  There’s also a brief review of Breach.

Video Game Review: Metro 2033 Redux

Details: Purchased along with Metro Last Light Redux in the Metro Redux bundle for $5.39 from http://www.fanatical.com. Beat it in about seven hours. Played on the PC through Steam.

Score: 6.8/10

Metro 2033 Redux is an upgraded re-release of the original Metro 2033. The visuals are all upgraded and look pretty damn good. The game itself is a first person shooter horror game that takes place in a post apocalyptic Moscow.

Video Game Review: The Darkness II

Details: Released in 2012. Beat the game in about three hours. Got it for free from http://www.humblebundle.com. Official site is http://www.embracethedarkness.com

Score: 6.4/10

For a game this old, it held up surprisingly well. The Darkness II is a short, fairly adult story about a mob boss possessed by an evil being.

Video Game Review: Borderlands 2: Game of the Year Edition

Details: Originally released in 2012. I purchased the Game of the Year Edition (doesn’t include all DLC) on Steam for PC for $8.80. I then purchased all five Headhunter DLC’s (all extra story content are in the Game of the Year Edition and the Headhunter DLC’s) for around $4.50 and the Ultimate Vault Hunter Pack 2 for another $2.50. In total, that’s about $16.00. I spent about seventy-five hours playing through the game.

I’ve got a lot of mixed feelings on Borderlands 2. Sometimes, the game is really fun. More times than necessary though, this game is freaking boring. So much so that I’m not sure I’m going to ever play a Borderlands game again. I haven’t played Borderlands 1 or the Pre-Sequel and I know there’s no Borderlands 3, but that’s probably in the pipeline.
