Movie Review: Batman: Hush

Details: More information can be found at https://www.dccomics.com/blog/2018/07/20/batman-hush-is-getting-an-animated-movie and https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8752440/

Score: 7/10

Batman: Hush was surprisingly good considering how crappy the past few DC Comics animated movies have been in my opinion. Most amazingly is how the movie offers something new-ish for people already familiar with the comic book.

TV Show Review: Young Justice: Outsiders

Details: Watched about nineteen episodes this season. More information can be found at https://www.dcuniverse.com/videos/young-justice/58/season-3?page=2

Score: 5.7/10

Young Justice: Outsiders has some of the worst writing I’ve ever heard. The dialogue is just painful. Which is depressing because this is the only animated DC Comics show airing right now. As someone who grew up with Batman: The Animated Series, Superman, Batman Beyond and Justice League, this is just sad.

Comic Book Review: House of X #2 Retcons the History of the X-Men

Details: More information can be found at https://www.marvel.com/comics/issue/72985/house_of_x_2019_2

Score: 8/10

After the end of the Batman Who Laughs, I was worried about what my next must read book would be. I didn’t have much to worry about because that new book is this one. House of X is a companion book with Power of X, but I feel like this book is the true main book.

House of X #2 takes one of the primary characters in the X-Men franchise and rectons her history, thereby retconning a lot of the X-Men’s history. It’s quite the trip as we not only explore this characters history, but we get to explore the intricacies of her powers, which is one of my favorite kinds of stories when it comes to superpowers. There will be spoilers ahead.

Comic Book Review: The Batman Who Laughs

Details: More information can be found here: https://www.dccomics.com/comics/the-batman-who-laughs-2018/the-batman-who-laughs-1

Score: 8/10

There is only one western comic book that I need to read each time it’s released and that is this book. The Batman Who Laughs is a character who originally appeared in the Dark Metal miniseries and has gone on to be one of DC Comics most popular characters. Though there be haters, I love this character. I love this character because I love character development and you cannot have this character without exploring the Batman mythos (which I also love) and questioning again what it truly means to be Batman.

Movie Review: Spider-Man: Far From Home

Details: More information can be found at https://www.spidermanfarfromhome.movie/ and https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6320628/

Score: 7/10

This movie was average. I read somewhere that it serves as an epilogue to Endgame and a set up on what happens next in the Marvel cinematic universe. It doesn’t do a good job as an epilogue or a set up. There is a big end credits scene with consequences for Spider-Man, but that doesn’t do much for the rest of the MCU.
