Fast Food Review: Chipotle Pollo Asado

Chipotle has come out with a new chicken protein flavor and for the most part, it’s the same. It’s got more citrus flavor to it. It’s lime probably. However, when you put all your toppings onto your burrito bowl or in your burrito, it just ends up tasting the same as their old chicken.

So really, not much has changed. If you liked the chicken before, you’ll like this. If you’re expecting something new, you will be disappointed.

Fast Food Review: Chipotle’s Smoked Brisket

For the most part, if you get a burrito bowl or a burrito or anything where you load up on salsa and sour cream and whatever, you’re not going to be able to taste the protein in your food no matter how much it’s advertised. There’s just too many sauces going on. The same is true or the smoked brisket.

I ordered a burrito bowl with all the fixings and their self acclaimed new brisket. I couldn’t taste anything different from this than any other protein that comes with their burrito bowls. I did manage to taste a small piece untouched by the sour cream or salsa and it was okay I guess. But for the most part, Chipotle bowls cover up the taste of most of the ingredients inside of it.

Overall, whatever protein you get at Chipotle is irrelevant if you add enough salsa, sour cream, beans, avocado, queso, etc. The brisket might be delicious, but it’s going to be irrelevant for almost everyone ordering a burrito bowl… which is vast majority of Chipotle customers.
