This sauce has a kick. It’s definitely noticeably spicier than your standard green capped, rooster logo sriracha. It also has a much more pronounced chili taste. This is both spicy and tastes good. If you like sriracha, I’d consider this sauce an upgrade to the more popular green capped variety. The only issue is that this thing has a bunch more ingredients than green cap sriracha. I think it might have some fish sauce in it among other things, so if you’re allergic to fish, you probably shouldn’t try this.

After eating this sauce with a bunch of things, I’ve reached the conclusion that the only thing this sauce should be used for is chicken. More specifically, Hainanese chicken. That’s it. It’s not terrible, but it’s really not great with anything else. The predominant taste other than the chili is the taste of ginger. I can see it going with chicken prepared in other ways, but this really is just for Hainanese chicken. Don’t buy it if you need a hot sauce for anything but that.
